Top 20 summer 2018 finalists for The Roy W. Dean Grant at From The Heart Productions, California, USA.

The remains of a Roma teenager are found by the street dogs of a small town. The death of young Bahara opens Pandora’s box, an entire hidden network of sex slavery, work exploitation of minors, and discrimination against Roma children in a small town in Southern Romania.

Mark Travis and Elsha Taya Travis support this documentary, and there are no words to express how grateful we are. The same goes for Annie Glenn and the Daffodils from Heaven.

Kids are kids no matter where they are

This is what they have found, broken families in a broken world. Think about it for a second, how would you feel if you were born in this reality? How would you see the world through their eyes, eat the way they eat, live the way they live. The only common ground for the kids around the globe is the state of play. We as adults lost it, and never quite understood why. The state of play that’s in the kids’ mind reminisces a lost paradise.  In the adult state, the brain overthrows the heart, and so the concept of “responsibility” comes into play, much more than the “play” itself.

“Operation Backpack”
